How To Join

From 2023 our membership periods will run for each whole calendar year. Each year we encourage people to join or renew so they can play a part in supporting the cinema and get more involved in our activities in the year ahead. Being a member is a way of having your ideas heard and will also give you voting rights at our General Meetings.

Membership of the Friends no longer entitles you to a discount at the cinema but the Picture House offer a number of different membership schemes with various benefits.

Joining The Friends

Membership is open to individuals over eighteen on payment of a ‘Pay What You Decide’ membership fee.

Joining The Friends of The Hyde Park Picture House is a 3 step process

  1. Firstly, we ask you to read and agree to support our aims
  2. Then you need to make a donation to cover the “pay what you decide” membership fee. You can find more guidance on this below.
  3. Finally, complete the membership form with your details.

We no longer offer joint memberships but there is room on the form to name two people at the same address.

Suggested Fees

For guidance we suggest the following annual donations for each member:

Higher income

However, you can choose how much to contribute.

We welcome other donations so that we can develop activities and projects to support the work of the Picture House.

Ways To Pay

We are investigating other ways of allowing you to make a payment but for now you can pay money directly into our account.

Bank Transfer

Bank transfers can usually be done via your bank’s online or telephone services and it may be possible to arrange a transfer in person at your local branch.
